BIOE498 Concept assignment Lecture Time - Interview 4 Sept 2008 Client: M. Haney Are auditory cues acceptable? Yes. Do I want Time per Slide? I will have milestones (groups of slides). I want to control the lecture by milestones. At present I keep the milestones in my head. That is acceptable. However, "ease of use" is important. And keeping the milestones in my head is less easy to use than ... something better. Are visual cues acceptable? Yes. However, with my single-vision glasses, I am effectively farsighted (presbyopic) and can not read my watch. Are tactile cues acceptable? Yes. Cost? No limits as such, but let's be realistic. Cost does matter. Could I live with Powerpoint just playing my slides, and I have no choice but to keep up? Yes, that would be easy to use. But annoying. How much time am I willing to invest in setting up the milestones? Again, I don't want to set bounds. Ease of use. Easier is better. Is a method a product? Is it acceptable for a student to be in charge of telling me to go faster or slower? Yes. Consultants "sell methods" all of the time... Is it acceptable for me to finish early? (you wish :-) The goal is to end on time, and to adjust faster or slower, to stay (and thus end) on time. Note: this is not something that I will make. The goal is to identify concepts which could be a product.
