Graduate Studies - Current Students

Fellowships

The Department of Bioengineering strongly encourages graduate students to apply for funding from the University or other agencies. The skills learned in the application process are critical to your success as a future researcher.

While we try to keep the granting opportunities listed below as complete and up-to-date as possible, there are certainly other possibilities. General fellowship and grant search engines are a good place to start. The Graduate College at the University of Illinois provides a listing of grants available to University of Illinois students. The University of Illinois' IRIS grants and fellowship search engine is an on-campus resource and also has a staff person available to assist you. Another excellent resource is GrantsNet which also allows international students to search for fellowships available to them.

If you need assistance applying for a fellowship please contact Sam Smucker in the Bioengineering office at 4-6389.
